The textbook, notes and assignments will be the basis for the module quizzes and the Lab Exam. During the term, you will complete 4 individual lab assignments,  4 quizzes, 1 team project (as the 3 included group programming assignments) and a proctored final lab exam. 

You are required to complete 4 individual lab assignments ( Modules 1,2,3,4); you will join an online team to complete a term project ( divided into 3 group assignments Modules 5,6,7) to improve your skills.  Your team will be provided with a Virtual Machine environment to complete team project activities.

There is one lab assignment per module. The lab assignment must be completed within the 2 weeks allocated to the module.

Lab assignments are posted and submitted in D2L in the appropriate dropbox link. Lab assignments are due as noted on the dropbox link and calendar.   DO NOT EMAIL YOUR ASSIGNMENTS!  They do not show up in D2L to receive a grade.  You will be graded on your D2L submission of a completed application which fulfills stated requirements as posted for each of the lab assignments.  Missed lab assignments will result in a grade of ZERO for that grade component. Lab assignments will be accepted up to 48 hours late with a late penalty of 30% per day.  Lab assignments have specific requirements to be completed. Be sure to submit all required files.

There is one quiz for each of the first 4 modules  which must be completed during the 2 week timeframe of that module.  You have 2 attempts to complete the quiz.  The quiz score is the average of the two attempts if 2 attempts are made.    Quizzes cannot be made up.

You are required to attend 1 proctored lab exam during the scheduled final exam window time as set by the Registrar.  This exam will be proctored by ProctorU online.  You will need a webcam and will use your PC. The lab exam must be scheduled and completed within the final exam timeframe. Exams require verification of identity via a university or state issued photo id before admission to take the exam as per school policy

Grading plan:

Scale: 90+: A. 80+: B. 70+: C. 60+: D. Below 60: F.

4 Quizzes @ 5%                                          = 20% of grade

Lab Exam                                                    = 25% of grade

4 individual labs assignments @ 5% each      = 20% of grade

2 Project assignments@ 8%                         = 16% of grade   ( project assignment 1 & 2)

Completed Project                                       = 10% of grade   ( project assignment 3) 

Team participation                                       =  9% of grade
